KHA's Food House

KHA's Food House
Finally, my yoga midterms is overrrrr. It's time to reward myself for being able to do all the asana poses. :) yippeeee yippppeee yooo! * fingers crossed* I've been wanting to try this Indian resto in UP campus. I was intrigued when my officemate mentioned this..how come I haven't heard of this before? I've been going to UP several times for street food fi-yes-ta! then Lo and behold there's this famous Indian eatery beside the pool.... hmmmmmm. So, to put an end to my curiosity I went directly to Kha's foodhouse. It was inside the UP Arcade near  the chapel.

The interior is simple, not much ornamentals and the likes. Just like any other resto found inside campus.

price: student friendly; ranges from P100- P150 and they come in big servings

service: the servers are polite and accommodating, don't hesitate to ask them what their specialty is. :)

we ordered Jambalaya, it's one of the faves and it comes with a bowl of soup. I ordered one for me but this is actually good for two persons. We also ordered beef kebab because I can't eat the Jambalaya by itself. I just needed meat. But Jambalaya is a complete meal by itself. We also ordered this garbanzo thingy on top of fried pita. delicioso! :) You can ask for an extra pita bread for only P10. :)

leaving stress in the city- estancia resort, tagaytay

It was a very stressful work week and there's no better way to relax than visiting the nearest vacay place in town- Tagaytay. It was actually a post-monthsary celeb- first month jitters. We decided to spend it outside the metro. I used to go here during xmas or summer. We stayed at Estancia Resort. The hotel’s rooms capture the breathtaking view of the Taal Lake and are located on a sprawling terrain that’s nestled in a cool tropical climate. It was breath taking.

We arrived past 6 in the evening and starving so we decided to drop by Green At's Bulalo haven. There were lots of customers when we arrived but I don't mind waiting..I have to EAT Bulalo. It's one of the reasons I came here. Yummy. extremely yummy is all I can say. :)

does this make you hungreeee?!

We've got free breakfast of our choice. :) morning sunshine feels good. The place has a winding pool, jacuzzi and sauna too! Super day! :)

We decided to drop by Leslie's on our way home. We weren't hungry then so we just had Lechon Kawali.

elegant mini buses in cavite

a whole lot of faith. :)

Rainy season has now started but that din't stop us from enjoying the glorious heat of the sun. Oh, thank heavens, it din't rain. :)

This resort was formerly known as Josephine's resort after the famous resto which also has a branch in Tagaytay. I've been to several resorts around the metro and I thought that it would be fun to explore the ouskirts of Manila. It took us almost 2 hours to reach Kawit, Cavite. Not bad as we passed by Aguinaldo's house and a lot of fishing spots. there are also a lot of Oyster vendors along the road but we did not buy any because it spoils easily, I think. :) Now, i'm craving buttered oysters. :( Oh, and I cant believe that traffic is awful. But I enjoyed  checking out the mini buses that have elaborate designs.

There were already a lot of people when we reached the resort at 11am, Operation starts at 8am. The parking lot is spacious and is near the entrance so we did not have to rent tables and chairs--cheap thrill! :) Entrance fee is only P180/pax (child and adult). You may bring foods inside and liquids but bottled containers and alcoholic beverages are not allowed. The guards are very strict in checking the belongings. You may opt to rent cottages and tables or villas if you wish to have an overnight stay. We just rented a locker for P50 (deposit P300) since we just brought clothes for changing and cameras. You may also rent inflatables for P100.  They have a mini playground for kids too. :) There is a lazy river where you can lazily go around, it's just 3ft deep, an adult pool which is 5ft deep, 2 big slides and a kiddie pool which has slides and a lot of shower thingies. :) There are a lot of lifeguards around. The place is clean, waste baskets are in every corner. The shower rooms are also commendable.

Lunch time, munch time. :) You may opt to dine at Josephine's resto which is just a few walks away from the resort, they have a clean plate buffet on Sundays for 255/pax. Or you may choose to try the rice toppings inside the resort, prices range from P80-P90. We tried it, it's not like the food in Josephine's but its also good. I have a better plan for dinner. :0

We left the resort around 4pm as were still headed to Silang for dinner. :)

We left tiiiired but satisfied. :)

glass of sangria

For this month, I want to celebrate our monthsary plain and simple--- but sweet and romantic. So, i thought of doing it at home. I've been wanting the candle-lit kind of thing. We prepared pepper steak- no biggie we got mccormick's help plus the crab and corn soup, a glass of red wine to add oomph and the mango cake---which was not homemade by the way. Candles were lit and voila a very romantic private dinner. I love.
